02:50 pm - A Few Questions for the E-Bay Gods

Lindsey's Attic

I have a few questions for all of you expert e-bayer's out there.

1. Is there anyone out there that does e-bay as a full-time business? If so, I'm looking for a mentor. I'd love to turn what I have thus far into a full-time business. I live in an economically depressed area with my fiance and near our families. My fiance has a decent job right now, but I've been looking for over a year and a half (and I have two college degrees from a big-ten university, lots of work experiences, good references, and I still can't find anything). I want to create something that will help keep our heads above water while I continue looking for a job. Once I find a job, I want to continue the e-bay business on a part-time basis. Any suggestions?

2. I've been e-baying for over a year and my fiance and I have built up a good reputation (our user name is bla2007 and our rating is 295, 100%). While at first we were profitable, it seems like the more items I list, the worse off things get. I now have an extremely large inventory that I'm trying to get rid of quickly (already listed). I have several hundred other items that I need to post yet, but I'm afraid of getting into the same situation. I've tried selling items in several different ways, and I've never had any complaints with regards to pricing, quality, or anytihng like that.  In other words, how do I get items to sell?  It seems as though a lot of people have looked at my merchandise, and I'm getting the word out.  Where am I going wrong?

I've included a link to our e-bay store.  I'd love ANY kind of feedback, and please feel free to make a bid if you see something you like.

Thanks in advance for all of the help!
